Entering Holy Week

The Palm Sunday liturgy began on the plaza outside the Cathedral of Christ the Light on April 9, with the readings that mark the beginning of Holy Week, and the blessing of the palms, held in the outstretched arms of the people, who lined the path to the cathedral's doors. Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ, celebrated the 10 a.m. Mass. Joining in the morning's procession were members of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, in their distinctive white and black capes.
