Holy Land pilgrims
Pilgrims from two Holy Land pilgrimages stop along the river Jordan in Israel. The Catholic Voice tour, from Feb. 6-15, was led Rev. Larry D'Anjou, pastor at St. Raymond Parish in Dublin. They are joined here with a group of pilgrims led by Pittsburgh Bishop David Zubik. Among the sites visited by the Oakland diocese pilgrims: the Church of the Annunciation; the village of Cana, where some married couples renewed their wedding vows; a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee; were able to renew their Baptismal promises at the Jordan River; Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity; and the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
