Diocesan Choir Festival
Registration to perform in the Diocesan Choir Festival ends on Jan. 15. The festival, in the Cathedral of Christ the Light, 2121 Harrison St., Oakland, will be from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 30. In keeping with the Jubilee of Mercy, the theme for this year's festival is "Sacred Songs of Mercy" and parish choirs are invited to sing any liturgical music with references to mercy. Each parish is invited to register one choir. Each choir is allotted three minutes to perform. Choirs can reserve a 30-minute time slot for rehearsal in the cathedral. For information: www.ctlcathedral.org/ChoirFestival or contact Denise Kogler, 510-271-1935 or dkogler@ctlcathedral.org.
