Vietnamese martyrs honored
Hundreds of people celebrated the 27-year anniversary of the Vietnamese martyrs' canonization on Nov. 22 at St. Anthony Parish in Oakland. Bishop Emeritus John S. Cummins and Very Rev. George Mockel, vicar general, presided at the Mass, assisted by 18 priests. Besides the Mass, the Vietnamese Community of the Diocese of Oakland and their guests also enjoyed the traditional procession around St. Anthony's and food and entertainment.
