When will we do something? ISIS has released a video showing the machine gun slaughter of 200 Christian children as they lay with their faces in the dirt. It is predicted that all Christians will be purged from the Middle East within a decade. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims are swarming into Europe; most refuse to assimilate into the local culture. Europe may be next.
Many countries reflect the Christian morality and accept all refugees. That may lead to a disaster. The horror is, in some respects, added to by their own lack of leaders who are moderate and will stand up and fight the radicals.
This has occurred numerous times during their history. For our own survival, Muslim refugees should relocate to Muslim countries and Christian refugees to Christian countries. Christian nations should assist them in this undertaking.
Christians from all Christian nations must unite with moderate Muslim countries such as Jordan to soundly defeat the source of this evil; radical Muslims. Our leaders, including our religious leaders, will not even voice such a term, nor words such as religious war or ethnic cleansing; which clearly describes what is happening. They hide like ostriches with their heads in the sand while the enemy approaches unchallenged. Our president has cleared the way for Iran to develop nuclear arms. Only a fool will ignore the thought of what will happen when the radicals obtain them. Please wake up.

Letters to the editor provide a forum for readers to
engage in an open exchange of opinions and concerns in a climate of respect
and civil discourse. The opinions expressed are those of the writers,
and not necessarily of the Catholic Voice or the Diocese of Oakland. While
a full spectrum of opinions will sometimes include those which dissent
from Church teaching or contradict the natural moral law, it is hoped
that this forum will help our readers to understand better others’
thinking on critical issues facing the Church at this time.
