Congratulations to graduates

Most Rev.
Michael C. Barber, SJ

Congratulations, graduates: Whether from college, high school or elementary school, this time marks a new beginning for you.

One of our diocesan patrons, St. Francis de Sales, wrote: "Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them — every day begin the task anew."

Your experience of a Christ-centered education will guide you as you begin every day anew.

Use wisely what your Catholic education has given you.

I, and your family and friends, congratulate you.

God bless you!

Most Rev. Michael C. Barber, SJ
Bishop of Oakland

To the Class of 2015:

Sister Barbara Bray, SNJM

I wish to extend sincere congratulations to all the graduates of the Class of 2015.

Your minds, bodies and souls have been nurtured during the years of your Catholic education, inspiring you to achieve your highest academic and creative potential.

Congratulations to each of you on all that you have achieved in developing your special God-given talents and gifts.

Our prayers are with you as you move to the next chapter in your life. Continue to celebrate your great accomplishments by living the Gospel values you have learned. May you be a blessing to all the communities you touch — family, Church and society.

Sister Barbara Bray, SNJM
Superintendent of Schools

More grad news

There will be more school and graduation news in our June 22 issue too. We had so much news, and some schools have their graduation ceremonies later in June, so we'll devote more space for school news in that issue.
