Notre Dame Glee Club performs
St. Patrick's Day arrives early as the University of Notre Dame's nationally recognized Glee Club performs at 8 p.m. March 14 at the Cathedral of Christ the Light, 2121 Harrison St., Oakland. Proceeds benefit FACE (Family Aid Catholic Education), which provides financial needs-based tuition grants to students who attend Catholic schools in the Diocese of Oakland. Feb. 27 to March 27
Lenten Fish Fry. St. Philip Neri Church, 3101 Van Buren St., Alameda. Every Friday through March 27, the Friday before Palm Sunday. The simple dinner follows Stations of the Cross at Saint Philip Neri Church, which begin at 6:30 p.m. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for young persons 12 and under. Reservations are unnecessary.

Feb. 28 to March 5
Parish Mission at St. Stephen Parish, 1101 Keaveny Court, Walnut Creek. Capuchin Franciscan preacher and author Richard Hart will conduct the parish mission, the theme of which is Embracing the Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Jesus. There will be evening programs at 7 p.m. March 1-5, with a closing Eucharistic liturgy the night of March 5. Father Richard will be preaching at the weekend services. There is no charge.
