A retreat in Boston
Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ, returned to Boston to give a retreat for seminarians at St. John's Seminary. He was serving as director of spiritual formation there when he was named bishop of Oakland. Fifteen months later, he went to Boston to give the late August retreat before the seminarians returned to the classroom Sept. 2.
