Assistance for those unable to travel

Assist You Travel is a business offering aid to those with a challenge or inability to travel by themselves.

From planning a trip to returning to their front door, Assist You Travel can provide a companion to help a client with the usual and possibly unexpected issues with a trip, said Jeanne Mazy, owner.

The service is available for domestic and international travel and even local trips, she said, and can assist with transportation to and from as well as during the trip, medical equipment, reminders and assistance as needed, communication with a client's family, lodging and travel/trip and health insurance.

Assist You Travel is not a travel agency, Mazy said, but can arrange for anyone who wants to give a gift to a loved one, has ambulatory issues or some memory problems and who desires safe, fun companionship but wants additional medical assistance/oversight.

Mazy, a registered nurse, has practiced in Iowa, Nebraska and California. She lives in San Ramon and is a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish.

Fees vary based on client needs. Basic expenses include compensation for the companion, a minimum per diem and any special services contracted by the client.

Assist You Travel is insured and bonded. For more information, www.assistyoutravel.com or 925-786-3333.
