Fatima celebrations at St. James

On May 13, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. at St. James the Apostle Church in Fremont.

The parish will gather on the 13th of each month, through October, for Mass at 7:30 p.m. Mass will be followed by a candlelight Marian procession around the parking lot. After the procession, there will be a short Eucharistic Adoration in the church, which will be concluded by benediction. A special blessing will be given to those who are sick.

The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children at Fátima, Portugal, on the 13th day of six consecutive months in 1917, beginning on May 13.

This is the fifth year for the Fatima devotions at St. James, said Father Antony Vazhappilly, the pastor, and the worshippers have grown in number each year.

St. James is at 34700 Fremont Blvd.
