Cinco de Mayo Celebration. St. Paul Parish in San Pablo is partnering with the city of San Pablo for a family-oriented celebration, which begins with an old-fashioned parade with floats, bands, etc. at 10 a.m. that starts on Barrett Avenue, and follows the 23rd Street route turning right onto Church Lane, finishing at the St. Paul's schoolyard at 1825 Church Lane. A day of festivities will follow including live local Latino bands, Mariachis and dancing; interactive games; ethnic food, as well as artisan, crafts, clothing and jewelry.

Sunday, May 4
Sacred and secular music, perfect for spring. The Golden Gate Boys Choir and Bell Ringers directed by Steven Meyer, founder, will perform a concert from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Basilica, 1109 Chestnut St., Alameda.
