Vallombrosa offers 'anytime retreats' for private prayer

Vallombrosa Retreat Center in Menlo Park offers "anytime retreats," which are becoming more popular for busy persons challenged by the fast pace of their lives.

At any time during the year a person can arrange to come to Vallombrosa for two or three days of solitude and private prayer. Times are arranged on a space-available basis.

These retreats offer a respite within the natural beauty and solitude of the grounds and a time to step back, gain perspective, read, write, sleep, reflect and contemplate. Rev. Patrick O'Neil, OP, director of Vallombrosa, is available for those seeking guidance, mentoring or simply wanting to talk.

Call at least two weeks in advance to check availabilty. The center's beautiful chapel, its recently renovated private or double rooms and the professional chefs on staff all help make the "anytime retreat" a valuable experience. Contact Rachel at 650-325-5614 or go to www.vallombrosa.org.
