Deacon Dave's lights go on Nov. 30

Deacon Dave Rezendes' 31st Annual Christmas Display is scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30. All are invited to gather in the closed street in front of the darkened property at 352 Hillcrest Ave. in Livermore to await the arrival of the colorful Advent/Christmas procession, which will move down Hillcrest Avenue from Fordham Way.

When the procession arrives, the opening ceremonies, which will include a welcome by the mayor of Livermore and the city's new police chief, will begin. Deacon Dave will announce this year's theme and bless the lights and the gathered folks.

The hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 6-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; Christmas Eve 6-10 p.m.; Christmas Day 6-10 p.m.; Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, 6-9 p.m.; New Year's Eve 6 -8 p.m., with lights remaining on until midnight.

The Christmas display is subject to be closed due to heavy rain and or strong winds. For additional details, see www.casadelpomba.com.
