Emeritus Bishop John S. Cummins of the Oakland diocese, who participated in the Vatican II sessions, will share his memories and reactions to that great event in a retreat, Vatican II: 50 Years Later, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25 at San Damiano Retreat, 710 Highland Drive, Danville.

He will discuss how what happened then is so important for what is happening now. The $40 cost includes lunch. The day will conclude with Mass at 2 p.m.

Also at San Damiano

"Radical Gratitude," a retreat facilitated by Mary Jo Leddy, will be a time to connect with the deepest roots of gratitude and will include presentations, silent time and small group sharing. Registration: 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25; retreat ends with lunch Oct. 27; $230/private room and $205/ shared.

"Eucharistic Adoration Retreat," with Rev. Evan Howard, OFM, offers a prayerful day that will include Mass and Exposition. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Nov. 1, and the retreat goes from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and concludes with Mass. Cost is $30 and includes lunch.

"Day of Remembrance," in which the solemn feast of All Soul's Day affords an opportunity to remember all those who have died. The day will include scripture, reflection opportunities and time for prayerful intention. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 2 and the day goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., concluding with Mass. Celebrants: Rev. Ray Bucher, OFM, and Brother Mike Minton, OFM. $30 cost includes lunch.
