Father Aidan McAleenan

Father Mark Wiesner

Retreats at San Damiano
Two priests of the Oakland diocese will lead upcoming retreats at San Damiano, the Franciscan retreat in Danville. The Sept. 20-22 retreat will be "Grief: There is a Way Through" led by Father Aidan McAleenan. The weekend will be modeled upon the "peer ministry" grief support systems that are in place in the diocese. Those who are grieving have a right to compassion with themselves, to lean on others for help and to trust in their ability to heal. Sept. 27-29 will be a married couples retreat: "Sole" Mates, Walking Together, Together with Christ" with Father Mark Wiesner. This weekend will provide married couples the opportunity to slow down and stay connected with one another and Jesus to make sure all are walking together with the same destination. Registration for both retreats begins at 4 p.m. and ends with lunch. 925-837-9141, ext. 315, email katerik@sandamiano.org or see our website: www.sandamiano.org.
