Then-Rev. Michael C. Barber, SJ; Rev. Stephen Barber, SJ; Very Rev. Peter-Hans Kohluenbach, SJ, superior general of the Society of Jesus; and Rev. Kenneth Robitaille in January 2000 in Rome.

At Oxford, Bishop Barber worked with graduate students, including Rhodes scholars, who were visited in 1994 by one of the more famous alumni, who was serving as president of the United States, Bill Clinton.
