| EWTN to cover World Youth Day
The Eternal Word Television Network, the Catholic cable network, will air several special programs in the next few weeks.
"Enrique Shaw: A Life, A Testimony" airs at 7 p.m. June 30 and at 11 a.m. July 4. Shaw, a businessman in Argentina and the father of nine children, was an exemplary Catholic and has been declared to be a Servant of God.
Another program, "Holy Hour for Life, Marriage and Religious Liberty," will air at noon every first Friday of each month. Viewers are invited to pray with the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word for the preservation of basic rights and freedoms in the U.S. from Our Lady of the Angels Chapel in Irondale, Alabama, beginning July 5. All times are Pacific Time.
EWTN will also provide extensive coverage of World Youth Day, to be held from July 23 to 28 in Rio de Janeiro. Dates and times of events will be announced.
EWTN is carried on Comcast 229, AT&T 562, Astound 116, DISH Satellite 261 and DirecTV 370. In Alameda, EWTN airs on Comcast 30.
