Congratulations to graduates

Most Rev.
Michael C. Barber, SJ

Mother Teresa used to say that our goal in life is to be faithful, not successful.

As you graduate, you will receive many cards, letters and emails wishing you "Success" and "Congratulations!" and "Good luck."

I join my voice to theirs. But the truly successful person is a faithful person first.

With the Lord's hand on your shoulder, and the force of the Holy Spirit as your strength — you won't just be successful — you will be invincible. God bless you!

Most Rev. Michael C. Barber, SJ
Bishop of Oakland

To the Class of 2013:

Sister Barbara Bray, SNJM

Congratulations to each of you graduates of the Class of 2013!

During the years of your Catholic education, you have developed your unique God-given gifts in a community of faith, learning and service.

As you go forth, you go with our prayer that you celebrate your wonderful achievements; continue to understand your special place in family, Church and society; and that you improve the world by living the Gospel values you have learned.

May the Lord bless and keep you and give you peace.

Sister Barbara Bray, SNJM
Superintendent of Schools

More grad news

There will be more school and graduation news in our June 24 issue too. We had so much news, and some schools have their graduation ceremonies later in June, so we'll devote more space for school news in that issue.
