Fatima celebration. St. James the Apostle Parish, 34700 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, will have Fatima celebrations on the 13th of every month from May to October. Mass at 7.30 p.m. followed by candlelit Marian procession around the parking lot. After the procession there will be a short Eucharist procession within the church, which will be concluded by benediction. A special blessing will be given to the sick people.

Companions in Ignatian Service and Spirituality is a unique program that engages people 50 and older in a commitment to social justice by directly serving the poor, participating in small faith sharing groups and daily prayer. This spiritual event features a lineup of inspiring Catholic speakers who offer brief reflections on the call to the new evangelization, St. Juan Diego and the Blessed Virgin Mary, followed by a screening of the film, "The Blood and The Rose." National NFP Awareness Week. 11 a.m. at St. Raymond's Church, 11555 Shannon Ave., Dublin. The U.S. bishops have designated the last full week in July as "National NFP Awareness Week." The Diocese of Oakland will honor the week in Dublin. Begins with 11 a.m. Mass followed by a short program at the parish hall and then a potluck barbecue. Play areas for children. St. Raymond's Knights of Columbus will barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs. Please consider bringing beverages, side dishes, salad or desserts to share. St. Leander's Meridians' 12th Annual Summer Sports Collectors Show. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Ryan O'Connell Hall, 575 W. Estudillo Ave., San Leandro. A variety of vintage sports memorabilia items (1880's-2010) will be available for sale. Free verbal appraisals are available (for pre 1975 items only). Door prizes will be given away all day. Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament. Monarch Bay-San Leandro. Scramble format; 8 a.m. shotgun start. This is a four-person format open to all golfers. Since this a scramble tournament, signing-up as a group with three or four of your friends would be great. $100 entry fee includes: golf cart, 18-hole round of golf, tee prizes.
