New funeral center
Catholic Management Services, which operates Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services, broke ground on a new funeral center to be built on the grounds of Holy Cross Cemetery, 2200 E. 18th St., Antioch on May 17. Among those attending, from left, Rev. Francisco V. Vincente, OP, parochial vicar at Most Holy Rosary Parish in Antioch; Robert Seelig, Catholic Cemeteries' executive director; Archbishop Alex J. Brunett; and Antioch Mayor Wade Harper. The 10,000 square foot chapel (seating for 136) and columbarium (1,200 glass front niches) will also house offices and arrangement rooms, and front and rear gathering courtyards.
