"We are all one family and the Country Club is a beautiful setting to get all events under one roof representing all that we are about and show support," said Frank Malifrando, chief development and public affairs officer. These multiple events offer opportunities at a different range of cost and activity to appeal to a larger supporting base.

The Golf Classic, the main attraction now in its 29th year, guarantees a great day of golf, tee prizes, lunch, games, cocktail hour and an awards dinner at $250 per golfer or $125 for the dinner only. A raffle that offers week stays, overnight packages, golf, wine and more at $100 a ticket is limited to 150 tickets. Sponsorships are available. Channel 2 news anchor Dave Clark will emcee the awards dinner.

The 2013 Msgr. John T. McCracken Award for Outstanding Bay Area Catholic Women will be honoring Kathleen Balousek, founder of enduring needs programs serving critical social needs and engaging others with her leadership, energy and imagination. Pat Elam will chair and Dick Callahan will emcee. Tickets are $50 per person. This will be a high tea from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Escape to Capri, a bocce-fest (Italian lawn bowling) includes lessons, play and games, a light lunch, no host bar, entertainment, prizes and a raffle all for $50 per person, add $100 and enjoy the reception and dinner at 5 p.m. Bocce registration is at 12:30 p.m., lessons at 1 p.m., play and games at 1:30 p.m., awards presentation at 4:30 p.m. Bocce committee members include Meg Bowerman, St. Columba Catholic Church; Paul Cowles, Benicia Bocce Club; and Manny Romo, Martinez Bocce Club.
