Gospel concert
Rawn Harbor, famed liturgist and musician, will perform a rare concert of African American Gospel music to raise funds for the Kenyan Project at 4 p.m. July 25 at St. Augustine Church, 400 Alcatraz Ave., Oakland. Free-will offering will be taken up to support the project, which seeks to build a dormitory at the Tonga Parish Mission in Kenya.

The 2012 Summer Leadership Program at Saint Mary's College Kalmanovitz School of Education will prepare future education leaders to overcome cultural bias in K-12 schools. The third annual institute, "Equity and Inclusion through a Leadership Lens," will help leaders overcome such challenges as racism, bigotry against gays and lesbians and other inequities in public and private schools statewide and across the nation.
