Youths and young adults in their twenties and thirties will gather at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on Sept. 24 for On Fire Nor Cal Jam 2011 — a day that includes Mass with bishops, music, speakers and a couple of hours of amusement park rides just for On Fire ticket-holders.

Speakers include chastity advocate Jason Evert, Frere Phong, Paul J. Kim, Lili Flores and Marilyn Santos.

An evening concert features Matt Maher, One Sonic Society, and Sons and Daughters.

The park closes to the public at 7 p.m., but the On Fire ticket-holders will have exclusive access for two additional hours.

Tickets are $41 each and are available through http://norcalcatholicyouth.com.
The event is co-sponsored by the Catholic dioceses of Oakland, Sacramento, Stockton, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Monterey, Reno, Fresno and the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
