Cathedral Choral
The Choral Project, founded by Artistic Director Daniel Hughes in 1996, performs high-level choral literature and bridges the gap between text and music, singer and spectator. The 42-voice ensemble has released eight albums, and will offer an evening of sacred and secular music spanning several centuries and continents, featuring works in full choreography such as Ko Matushita’s celebratory Karimatanu Juicha. There will also be music by Duruflé, Whitacre and Tomás Luis de Vicotria. The sole performance will be at 8 p.m. May 7 at the Cathedral of Christ the Light; admission $20, $15 students/seniors. A docent-led tour of the Cathedral, one hour prior to the concert, is $5 per person.
