Ethical quandary
Thomas Cavanaugh, professor of philosophy at the University of San Francisco, will explore the topic of current medical ethics alongside models from ancient Greek and Christian traditions, in a lecture on June 12 in Father Kozina Hall at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1219 Excelsior Ave. in Oakland. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, begins at 3 p.m. and will be followed by Mass and a reception. The event is presented by the St. Anthony of Padua Institute. Cathedral Concerts

San Francisco Boys Chorus, choir-in-residence at Cathedral of Christ the Light, will perform Francesco Durante’s “Magnificat.” Admission: $20. St. Leander’s Meridians 9th Annual Summer Sports Collectors Show
