offer summer
school, camp programs

Two high schools in the Oakland Diocese are offering
summer programs to help young people improve physical fitness, build academic
skills and fine-tune their athletic abilities.
St. Mary’s High in Berkeley is offering academic courses and athletic
activities, June 21 to July 16, to students entering sixth through eighth
grades in the fall and to incoming members of the freshmen class. Sports
camps will be offered to younger students. Course prices begin at $150
with discounts available. Early registration deadline is April 1. More

De La Salle High in Concord will welcome boys and girls from grades sixth
to eighth to its summer sports week-long camps June 14 and July 1, with
sessions including track and field, lacrosse, wrestling, volleyball and
more. Costs range from $100 to $200 per camp with all proceeds going to
the school’s Bishop Cummins Scholarship program which helps students
from low-income families attending De La Salle. More information: (925)
