High schools offer summer
school, camp programs

Two high schools in the Oakland Diocese are offering summer programs to help young people improve physical fitness, build academic skills and fine-tune their athletic abilities.

St. Mary’s High in Berkeley is offering academic courses and athletic activities, June 21 to July 16, to students entering sixth through eighth grades in the fall and to incoming members of the freshmen class. Sports camps will be offered to younger students. Course prices begin at $150 with discounts available. Early registration deadline is April 1. More information: www.saintmaryschs.org.

De La Salle High in Concord will welcome boys and girls from grades sixth to eighth to its summer sports week-long camps June 14 and July 1, with sessions including track and field, lacrosse, wrestling, volleyball and more. Costs range from $100 to $200 per camp with all proceeds going to the school’s Bishop Cummins Scholarship program which helps students from low-income families attending De La Salle. More information: (925) 288-8100; summercamps@dlshs.org or www.dlshs.org.
