Hundreds of Contra Costa residents pray in Antioch
Church Family Jan. 12 while a delegation of clergy and community leaders
met next door with executives of Bank of America to urge more mortgage loan
modifications and other actions to stop foreclosures. Dissatisfied with
the bank’s response, the leaders announced Jan. 14 that a delegation
will take their pleas to top bank officials and members of its board of
directors. Churches belonging to CCISCO (Contra Costa Interfaith Supporting
Community Organization) and OCO (Oakland Community Organizations) participated
in the Antioch action.
