Group emphasizes Eucharistic adoration

St. Agnes Church in Concord, Holy Spirit Church in Fremont and Divine Mercy Chapel El Cerrito are now sponsoring perpetual Eucharistic adoration, reports the Confraternity of Eucharistic Devotion (CEDDO). In a survey of parishes in the Oakland Diocese, CEDDO found an increase in the number of churches offering adoration.

CEDDO, established by then-Bishop Allen Vigneron in 2006, offers resources and materials for those wishing to start or extend Eucharistic devotion in their parishes. CEDDO members also commit to regular prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

The group hopes to expand its membership. Information is at: www.ceddo.org, or write to CEDDO, 2121 Harrison St., Suite100, Oakland, CA 94612.
