St. Mary’s College hosts
social justice conference
for Bay Area students

College students throughout Northern California will gather Oct. 17 at St. Mary’s College in Moraga for a conference on leadership and social justice. The daylong event will feature interactive workshops and networking opportunities to help students become agents of social change on their campuses and in their communities, according to conference planners.

Wayne Meisel, president of the Bonner Foundation which supports community service programs at 75 colleges and universities, and Raj Jayadev, founder of Silicon Valley De-Bug, will be keynote speakers. Jayadev’s organization educates underserved popoulations on how to made a difference in their communities.
