Dire need of funds

Catholic Charities USA has sent out an urgent appeal for funds to assist victims of hurricane Katrina and the Catholic bishops have urged all parishes in the United States to hold a special collection for hurricane relief.

“Millions of people are in need of assistance and Catholic Charities will be among the primary responders,” said Bishop William Skylstad, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Catholic Charities USA will provide both emergency assistance and long-term recovery.
