St. John School 3rd Annual Golf Tournament. At Skywest Golf Course,
1401 Golf Course Road, Hayward. This fundraiser for the San Lorenzo school
will feature a number of format and skills events, including a chance
to win a Chevy Malibu, courtesy of F.H. Dailey Chevrolet in San Leandro.
Competitions include a putting contest, closest to the pin and the longest
drive. Special guest will be Carlos Briones, local golf protégé
and 2008 graduate of St. John School who recently became the youngest
player ever to win the 92-year-old San Francisco City Golf Championship.
Following a day of golf festivities will continue back at the St. John
Community Center Gym, 270 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, where participants
can enjoy a tri tip BBQ dinner, dancing and raffle, beginning with no-host
