Oakland’s St. Augustine Parish will
again present the Pergolesi Stabat Mater performed by the Grammy
Award-winning Pacific Boychoir Academy – under the direction
of Kevin Fox – on April 10 at 1 p.m. The Stabat Mater, a medieval
poem describing the anguish of the Virgin Mary during the Crucifixion,
will be presented within the context of the Stations of the Cross
as part of the parish’s Good Friday observances. The church,
located at 400 Alcatraz Ave., will open at noon for meditation and
