Pre-Christmas Concert-In-The-Hills Featuring the Slavyanka Male Russian
Chorus. 3 p.m. at Santa Maria Church, 40 Santa Maria Way, Orinda.
Formed in 1979 by several former members of the Yale Russian Chorus, the
Slavyanka Male Russian Chorus presents a cappella concerts with a repertoire
drawn mostly from Russian sources: Orthodox liturgical, Russian and other
Slavic folk and composed music. Slavyanka is the name that the early Russian
settlers in California gave to the river that is today known as the Russian
River. Tickets available at the door.
