EWTN to broadcast Holy Week liturgies
 

EWTN, a Catholic network, will air special Holy Week and Easter telecasts from Rome and the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.

Palm Sunday, March 16
: Mass with Pope Benedict XVI airs live at 1:30 a.m. with a repeat broadcast at 5 p.m.

Holy Thursday, March 20: Chrism Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI at 1:30 a.m.
Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper with Pope Benedict XVI at 9:30 a.m., repeated at 9 p.m.

Choral meditations and Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper at the National Shrine, 2:30 p.m.

Good Friday, March 21: Celebration of the Lord’s Passion with Pope Benedict XVI at 9 a.m., repeat telecast at 9 p.m.

Solemn Way of the Cross with Pope Benedict XVI at 5 p.m.

Holy Saturday, March 22: Easter Vigil Mass with Pope Benedict XVI at 1 p.m. with encore telecast at 9 p.m.

Easter Vigil Mass at the national shrine at 5 p.m.

Easter, March 23: Solemn Mass of the Resurrection with Pope Benedict XVI at 2:30 a.m., repeated at 9 a.m.
