Documentary: “Conviction.” 7:30 p.m. at Livermore
Main Library (Civic Center), community rooms. This documentary tells the
story of three Dominican Sisters who protested the government’s
policies regarding nuclear weapons by making a direct action at a Colorado
missile base in 2002. During their symbolic act they broke into the facility
and hammered on a missile housing. They were subsequently arrested, taken
to court, convicted of having committed sabotage, and given prison sentences.
