Rosary Bowl to be held May 19 at Rose Bowl

The Rosary Bowl, expected to be the largest outdoor prayer of the Rosary in Southern California in 50 years, will be held at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl May 19 from 6 – 9 p.m.

Speakers include Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony, Auxiliary Bishop Oscar Solis of Los Angeles and Immaculee Ilibagiza, a Rwandan genocide survivor.
Actor Martin Sheen will announce the Glorious Mysteries and read the Scripture reference for each mystery. The Hail Mary will be prayed in 55 languages.

A worship and praise segment, featuring music by a massed choir, begins the program, followed by banner and Eucharistic processions, Adoration, and praying of the rosary. There will also be Benediction.

The event is free and open to the public, though tickets will be needed for entry. Tickets can be ordered online at www.rosarybowl.org, via e-mail at info@rosarybowl.org, or by calling toll-free at 1-800-874-0999, ext. 22.
