Antioch parish hosts Eucharistic Adoration

A group of parishioners at Holy Rosary Parish in Antioch is planning a 24-hour Day of Eucharistic Adoration for June 15, the feast of the Sacred Heart. They are inviting other Catholics to join them.

The focus, organizers say, is to atone for blasphemous attacks on Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin in cartoons, theatre, television and radio programs, and art museums.

“This day has the potential to bear much spiritual fruit,” wrote Bishop Allen Vigneron in a letter of support to Dominican Father Jordan Bradshaw, Holy Rosary pastor.

The day of prayer will begin with a 9 a.m. Mass, followed by recitation of the rosary and meditation at 10 a.m. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited at 11 a.m. The rosary, chaplet, prayer of atonement and meditation will alternate throughout the 24 hours until 8 a.m. on June 16 when there will be Benediction and Mass at 9 a.m.
