OBITUARY

Sister Cecilia of Mary, SNJM

Sister Cecilia of Mary (Cecile Marie), a former teacher at Holy Names High School in Oakland, died April 9 in Los Gatos at the age of 94.
She had been a vowed Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary for 72 years.
In addition to Holy Names High, the Newman, California, native worked at secondary schools in Pasadena, Kentfield, Alhambra and Santa Monica. In the late 1950s and 1960s she was novice director for the Sisters in California.
She is survived by cousins and other relatives.
The funeral Mass was held April 15 at the Convent of the Holy Names in Los Gatos. Burial was the following day at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
