Podcasting
is the place where Catholics from all walks of life can use their voices
to raise awareness about vocations, recall traditional devotions, join
others in prayer and reflection, and muse or rant about all things Catholic.
Visitors to the website of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)
at www.usccb.orgcan find links to a
podcast where they can listen to daily liturgy readings.
Podcasts offered by The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) at http://www.ewtn.com/podcast/index.aspinclude
Scripture readings and homilies from daily liturgies celebrated at an
Alabama church.
EWTN podcasts are also based on the various television shows produced
by the network such as “Sunday Night: Live With Father Benedict
Groeschel” as well as classic programs featuring EWTN founder Mother
Angelica.
Another television program that reaches a wider audience through podcasting
is “Personally Speaking with Msgr. Jim Lisante.”
Visitors can listen to Msgr. Lisante interview prominent people in the
fields of politics, sports, entertainment and religion.
The link to the podcast can be found on the Catholic Communication Campaigne
at www.usccb.org/ccc/psradio.shtml.
A number of podcasts about the Vatican and Pope Benedict XVI can be found
at the Vatican Radio website at www.radiovaticana.org/inglese/enindex.html
