Vietnamese Catholics
to celebrate New Year

The Vietnamese community of the Oakland Diocese is hosting several celebrations marking Tet, the Vietnamese New Year which is Feb. 18.

The local observances include liturgy, a reception and entertainment. They are open to all parishioners.
They are:
Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. -- St. Felicitas Church, San Leandro
Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. --- St. Anthony Church, Oakland
Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. – Our Lady, Queen of the World Church, Bay Point
Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. -- Christ the Light (St. Mary’s/St Francis De Sales Church), Oakland:
Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. – Our Lady, Queen of the World Church, Bay Point
Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. -- St. Paul Church, San Pablo

A Lenten retreat for Vietnamese young adults will be held at the Diocesan Youth Retreat Center in Lafayette on the weekend of March 9. For more information, contact Sister Rosaline L. Nguyen at (510) 628-2153 or email Rnguyen@oakdiocese.org.
