Anti-war rally

 


Marie Roe, 7, holds up a protest sign during an anti-war rally in front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Jan. 27. The rally drew tens of thousands, including members of Pax Christi and other Catholic peace and social justice groups. Several thousands also marched in San Francisco. Both demonstrations were in response to President George W. Bush’s planned escalation of troop levels in Iraq.
