Memorial Mass to remember
all deceased priests, deacons, wives

The Diocesan Deacon community will host its first annual All Clergy and Deacon Wives Memorial Mass at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at St Lawrence O’Toole/St. Cyril Church in Oakland. Bishop Allen Vigneron will preside. The liturgy is open to the public.

The Mass will honor the lives of deceased priests, deacons and the wives of deacons of the Oakland Diocese, especially those who have died within the past year.

Traditionally, the deacon community has paid tribute to them in an annual memorial service that was open only to the deacon community.

This year, however, the community, in a spirit of solidarity with priests and the diocesan faithful, decided to include all deceased clergy.
St. Lawrence O’Toole-St. Cyril Church is located at 3725 High Street near MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland.
