OBITUARY

Father Vincent Foerstler, O.P.

Dominican Father Vincent Foerstler, a former pastor at Most Holy Rosary Parish in Antioch, died Aug. 4 from cancer. He was 75.

The Vallejo native was ordained to the priesthood in 1957. He ws pastor at Holy Rosary Parish from 1981-83. He also served as a missionary in Mexico and Nicaragua and was an associate pastor at various parishes of the Western Dominican Province.

Survivors include his brother, William, and sister-in-law, Claire, of Petaluma, and their family.
The funeral Mass took place Aug. 10 at St. Dominic Church in Benicia.
