EWTN special celebrates 25 years

Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, and Mother Angelica, founder of Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), are scheduled to participate in the grand finale of EWTN’s 25th Anniversary Celebration that will be televised live on Aug. 12 and 13 from Jefferson Civic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mother Angelica will be the special guest at the 25th Anniversary Live Show on Aug. 12 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. The Poor Clare nun is 83 and has suffered speech impairment because of a series of strokes.

Cardinal Trujillo will be the celebrant and homilist at a solemn Mass of Thanksgiving on Aug. 13 at 9 a.m.
