Cathedral progress

Workers place rebar for the floor of Oakland’s Cathedral of Christ the Light, forming a circular opening in the altar area which will eventually be filled with glass so that light can filter through the sanctuary to the crypt below. Construction continues at the corner of Grand Avenue and Harrison Street for the cathedral and diocesan administrative offices.
