Students create
devotional images
in Eucharistic art contest
The diocesan
Eucharistic Resources Commission awarded $100 to each of the four first
place winners in its student art contest. Second place winners each received
$50 and third place winners were given $25. More than 200 entries were
submitted from students in grades K through 12.
The winning entries were on display during the June 17 diocesan Eucharistic
conference held at St. Jarlath Church in Oakland.
First place winners are shown here.
Second place winners are: Estephanie Arredondo, St. Joseph Basilica, Alameda;
Amala Poiyadarshini, St. Clement Parish, Hayward; and Sean Cunningham,
St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Concord.
Third place winners are: Cait Kennedy, St. Felicitas Parish, San Leandro;
Christiana Castello, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Concord; and Ryan Veasy,
St. Francis of Assisi Parish,
