Arias
for school
Acclaimed opera singer Frederica von Stade,
a member of St. Joseph Basilica Parish in Alameda, will sing some
of her favorite arias, during a March 14 fundraiser, “Opera
on Broadway” at the Flood Mansion, 2222 Broadway in San Francisco,
6 - 10 p.m. Proceeds from the concert will benefit St. Martin de
Porres School, a regional Catholic school that serves families in
west and northwest Oakland. The event includes a live and silent
auction and a buffet supper. Tickets are $100 per person and can
