Bishop honored
Holy Names Sister Sally Slyngstad, principal at Holy Names High School,
gives retired Bishop John Cummins the Durocher Medal, the school’s
highest award, March 6 at the annual Alumnae Homecoming at the Oakland
campus. The bishop was honored for his long friendship with the Holy Names
Sisters and for his continued support of education of young women at Holy
Names.
