Saint Mary’s president inaugurated

During his inauguration, Sept. 23, as the 28th president of Saint Mary’s College of California, Christian Brother Ronald Gallagher (right) is joined by Christian Brother Vincent Malham, president-elect of Christian Brothers University (left) , and Bishop Emeritus John Cummins of Oakland. Brother Gallagher was vice chancellor of Bethlehem University from 1993-1997 and served as Secretary General of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Rome from 1997 to 2001. Before assuming the presidency of Saint Mary’s, he was chair of the college’s department of English and drama.
