for funds to assist victims of hurricane Katrina and the Catholic bishops
have urged all parishes in the United States to hold a special collection
for hurricane relief.
“Millions of people are in need of assistance and Catholic Charities
will be among the primary responders,” said Bishop William Skylstad,
president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
